Before I begin this post, I would ask you to be open minded. I believe as a Christ-follower that our lives are to be lived under the mandates of God's Word and the direction of the Holy Spirit.
That being said, there's one thing that is a worldwide dominating force: our cellphones. Not convinced? A recent study showed the average American spends 2.5 hours per day on social media. That means spending 38 days (24 hours per day) annually on the Internet! As Christ-follower, we are to be good stewards of our resources, including our time. "Making the best use of the time." Ephesians 5:16
How often do you check your phone for ESPN scores? Check emails? Or surfing social media? Not to put you on a guilt trip but what if we put even half that time into prayer and Bible reading? Think of the change it would bring in you and your world! Prayer and Bible study should be our ultimate priority. Matthew 6:33
