In November 2019, Disney came out with a Star Wars-type show for television, called The Mandalorian. The show centered around a small group of warriors who were living in exile. They were fiercely loyal to each other and their code of conduct. Their motto was " This is the way." That saying got me thinking.
Many people think that their denomination, their church, and their doctrine are THE way to heaven. Everyone else is mistaken. Some will go in another direction saying ALL religions will get you to heaven, as long as you are sincere in what you believe. That thought means almost everyone is going to heaven.
Unfortunately, that's not true. Jesus Christ said the majority of people are not going to heaven and in comparison, only a few will make it. Matthew 7:13-14. With so many different opinions and teachings, how are we supposed to know who is right? (Glad you asked.)
Jesus cleared up the confusion in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." In today's politically correct world, this sounds intolerant. But Jesus repeatedly made that claim John 3:16, John 3:36, John 17:3, Acts 16:31
While Jesus is the only way to heaven, that doesn't mean that it is exclusive to only certain people groups, races, genders or ethnicity. Everyone in the whole world is invited. All races, nations, ethnicities, and kinds of people are invited. There is no one who is too different, too sinful, too good, or too disabled who is not invited by Christ’s call to come. The Good News is He invites EVERYONE to accept His offer of salvation.
