Your Ugly Chapters

Writer's picture: Gary RupertGary Rupert

We all have things in our past we would like to forget. Moses had blood on his hands. Elijah was, at times, a coward. Jacob was a cheat and a liar. Esther kept her faith a secret. Paul was a murderer. Yet, God used them all. They chose to trust God with their futures and their past no longer had a hold on them.

God is not hung up on our ugly chapters. But we can say with Paul, "but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ." Philippians 3:13-14
