We are all familiar with the wise men visiting the baby Jesus. What a great Hallmark scene! But most Bible scholars believe the wise men did not appear at the manager but arrived much later. Matthew 2:11 As they prepared to leave, God warned them not to go back to Herod for Herod planned to kill Jesus. So, they went home by a different way.
I would like to think that their lives, like ours, were changed after meeting Christ. No one when they meet Jesus can leave the same. In Matthew 19, a rich young ruler came to Jesus seeking the way to eternal life but he went home sorrowful not willing to make a commitment. On the other hand, in Acts 9, the Apostle Paul meet Jesus on the Damacus road and was radically changed. He went from persecutor of the Christian faith to become a promoter of the faith.
No one can truly meet Jesus and remain the same. "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
